- July 2: DOW Wildlife Commission Meeting
The Colorado Wildlife Commission will meet July 2 in Fort Collins at the Hilton, 425 West Prospect Ave. for the regular July meeting.
The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will include the final adoption of several regulations including those pertaining to feral hogs and allowing for legal take.
Draft regulations that will be considered by the commission will include requiring wildlife sanctuaries and zoological parks possessing animals from the families Canidae, Felidae and Ursidae to submit abandonment plans.

The Colorado Division of Wildlife is the state agency responsible for managing wildlife and its habitat, as well as providing wildlife related recreation. The Division is funded through hunting and fishing license fees, federal grants and Colorado Lottery proceeds through Great Outdoors Colorado.
