- February 13: General Meeting: Tim Kirkpatrick is the Co Owner of Steamboat Fly Fisher, Steamboat's only Fly Fishing Only shop. They are a full service shop on the main street of Steamboat, just a stones throw away from the Yampa River. Tim offers full guiding service out of his shop on a variety of public and private rivers and ponds including the Yampa and Elk River. In addition, Tim's shop is by far the most friendly in town with always time to talk local conditions and offer hot fly advice.
He will speak on fishing the Yampa Valley with particular emphasis on the Yampa and Elk Rivers, two rivers with good public access and excellent big fish dry fly fishing. Come hear about the numbers and size of fish coming out of the River right through town! Did you know the Fly Fisherman magazine called the Yampa the best dry fly rainbow fishery in the country? He might even let you in on a few secrets about timing and patterns in the absolutely beautiful setting of Steamboat. Please show your support for Tim's 3 and 1/2 hour drive and your chapter on Feb 13th!
