Skin Gulch

The Skin Gulch stream corridor was substantially altered by the increased sediment delivery and peak flows from the High Park burn area throughout the watershed. The flooding of September 2013 also contributed sediment to lower Skin Gulch. In addition, work to stabilize and protect Stove Prairie Road adjacent to Skin Gulch resulted in further degradation of the stream channel. Lower Skin Gulch along Stove Prairie Road benefited from restoration work that resulted in a better functioning stream. Rocky Mountain Flycasters volunteers played a key role in this restoration work.
